This course is designed for those who truly want to learn — those with a genuine desire to become better teachers.

The course is also for teachers who need to transfer methods and experiences from teaching adults to teaching young learners.

Basic qualifications to take our CertTEYL online course:
• Certification in teaching ESL OR
• Two years experience teaching ESL OR
• University qualified teachers who wish to teach ESL to children.OR
• Proof of a sufficient combination of teaching experience, ESL experience, and/or experience in teaching children or adults. AND



• A caring and respectful attitude towards children.



• You must be at least 21 years old.
• If you are not a native English speaker, you must have proof of proficiency in English.

NOTE: It is completely at our discretion as to who is qualified to enroll for the course. We may ask you to fill out a sample writing task to assess your writing skills.

Main Target Group for this Course:
• Teachers who teach ESL to adults and want to teach children.
• Teachers currently teaching ESL to children but want to learn better teaching methods.
• Teachers qualified to teach children but have never taught ESL.

You will also benefit from this course if you have a preliminary teaching certificate, but are not ready for a diploma or masters degree at the moment.

This course can also be an "intermediary" step between a certificate course and a full diploma/masters program. This is one of the reasons why this course has Advanced in its title.

For those with little or no teaching practice, this course can only be taken as an introductory course if the practicum session is also taken.
